LEATHER JACKET / UNDERCOVER 09

Undercover has just released a leather jacket for the 2009 fall/winter season. Although the price is not available , the jacket is available on Note.

TIMETABLE / W+K LONDON

Wieden+Kennedy needed a way to increase the efficiency of their meetings. Ico Design and Sidekick Studios came up with the Timetable, an innovative table that visually controls the length of the meetings using 10 RGB LED panels beneath the surface, each representing 1/10 of the meeting time. As the panels switch off with a non disruptive sound effect , time is counted down to when the meeting will be over and when all the panels are off, a vocal message is played signaling that the meeting is over.

IDEA 2009 WINNERS / BEST DESIGNS OF 2009

The International Design Excellence Awards 2009 , IDEA, are presented to the most innovative and user friendly innovations of the year. Ranging from medical systems to everyday items, these winners were selected on the basis of user friendliness whether the user is a runner, an environmentalist, a warehouse worker, a surgeon, an everyday civilian. Over 30 items were given the Gold medal, and just to show the innovation of these items , the Best in show award went to garbage (literally). To view all the finalist , visit here and silver medalists can be seen here. We highly recommend our viewers to gloss over some of the gold and silver medalists, maybe one of you will be motivated and become a part of IDEA in the future years.

BLOOM / Jeff Miller

The flexibility of the wood makes this coat rack perfect for everyday hassle free use. The eight arms bend down like tree branches whenever a coat is hung on them, this way other coats hanging will not be disturbed and you can take your coat off the rack without making a mess. The arms work independently and the whole rack rotates for convenient use. More can be found at Cerruti Baleri , who Miller designed the coat rack for.
